Niall Brady, PhD, FSA, is Honorary General Secretary (2011-15) and Honorary Reviews Editor (2012-2015) to the Society. Niall read Archaeology and Geography in UCD (BA 1983, MA 1986) and received his doctoral degree in Medieval Studies at Cornell University (1996). He was Director of the Discovery Programme’s Medieval Rural Settlement Project (2002-10), and is founding co-director of Ireland’s premier underwater archaeological consultancy, the Archaeological Diving Company Ltd. Niall is Irish representative to the Ruralia group for the study of the medieval rural landscape, and the COST Oceans Past Platform, 2014-2018.
