Architectural

The National Inventory of Architectural Heritage
This website is the on-line representation of the survey work of the National Inventory of Architectural Heritage. Surveys are presented by county, and consist of a database record and images of each building/structure surveyed. These surveys are ongoing and this site will be updated with new survey material regularly.

Irish Architectural Archive
The Irish Architectural Archive was established in 1976 to collect and preserve the records of Ireland's architectural heritage and make those records available to those who wish to consult them. Its collections comprise the largest body of historic architectural records in Ireland and include in excess of 80,000 architectural drawings ranging in date from the late seventeenth to the late twentieth centuries, over 300,000 photographs, and an extensive reference library.

ENFO
ENFO is a public service which provides easy access to wide-ranging and authoritative information on the environment, incl. sustainable development. It was established in 1990 by the Department of the Environment Heritage,and Local Government.

Ireland

Kildare Archaeological Society
Founded in 1891 the Society's stated aim was: 'the promotion of the study and knowledge of the antiquities and objects of interest in the county and surrounding districts.' It carries out these aims through a series of lectures and excursions and the publication of a journal.

Kilkenny Archaeological Society
KAS is the historical society for the county of Kilkenny, re-founded in 1946 as the successor to the original Kilkenny Archaeological Society, which later became the RSAI. The Society is based at the 16th century Rothe House, in Parliament St, Kilkenny, and houses a museum and library, both now open to the public.

The Offaly Historical and Archaeological Society
Founded in 1969, the Society is dedicated to preserving, protecting and understanding the history of Offaly families, workplaces and communities, through active collection of historical materials, from family photographs and records to maps, old books, old newspapers and manuscripts.

The Society of Antiquaries of London
The Society of Antiquaries of London is a charitable organization, founded by Royal Charter in 1751 and charged with 'the encouragement, advancement and furtherance of the study and knowledge of the antiquities and history of this and other countries'.

The Society of Antiquaries of Scotland
The Society of Antiquaries of Scotland was founded in 1780 and it was incorporated by Royal Charter in 1783. It is the second oldest antiquarian society in Britain. The purpose of the Society is set out in the first of its Laws:
'.... the Study of the Antiquities and History of Scotland, more especially by means of archaeological research'; the Society today is concerned with every aspect of the human past in Scotland.
