JSTOR
JSTOR is a not–for–profit organization dedicated to helping the scholarly community discover, use, and build upon a wide range of intellectual content in a trusted digital archive. Their overarching aims are to preserve a record of scholarship for posterity and to advance research and teaching in cost–effective ways.JSTOR is producing an Ireland Collection from mid-2009. The Ireland Collection is the first regionally focused collection hosted by JSTOR. Developed in collaboration with Queens University Belfast, it offers access to unique content digitized from Queen's extensive print holdings and includes journals, monographs, and manuscripts to which researchers around the world previously may have had only limited access.
The first titles in the Ireland Collection will be released this summer, and we anticipate all titles, a minimum of 75 journals in addition to over 200 monographs and 2,500 manuscripts, will be released by the end of 2009. The fees for the Ireland Collection are available on the JSTOR Participation pages.
