Dr. Ann Lynch, a graduate of University College Cork and the Universiteit van Amsterdam worked as an archaeologist with the National Monuments Service for 37 years, holding the post of Chief Archaeologist for the final two years. She carried out excavations at many of Ireland’s premier national monuments including Newgrange, Co. Meath, Skellig Michael, Co. Kerry, Dublin Castle, Poulnabrone portal tomb in Co. Clare and has published widely on these sites. Her research interests lie in Irish prehistory.
