Isabella Mulhall is an Assistant Keeper in the Irish Antiquities Division (IAD) of the National Museum of Ireland – Archaeology where she has curatorial responsibility for the Irish Iron Age and Egyptian collections. She is coordinator of the Bog Bodies Research Project at the National Museum of Ireland and co-curated the Kingship and Sacrifice exhibition which opened in the NMI-Archaeology in 2006. She has lectured and published on the subject of the NMI Bog Bodies Research Project and is co-editor of the forthcoming NMI monograph publication of the findings of the Bog Bodies Research Project. As a fully licensed archaeologist, she has carried out numerous investigations of the find spots of bog-preserved remains and other related waterlogged finds which have come to light Ireland’s peatlands. She also has a role in the implementation of the statutory functions of the National Museum of Ireland which include, amongst others, the licensing and inspection of archaeological excavations.
