Elizabeth Allman originally qualified as an architectural technician from DIT and subsequently as an architect. She has worked for many years in private practice as an architect and project manager in the commercial and hospitality sectors. She has also taught part time in DIT. A registered architect and member of the RIAI she has served on its council. Having a long term interest in archaeology , particularly prehistory, in recent years she graduated with an MA in archaeology from UCD. Her main area of interest is the Bronze Age and her thesis was a review of Irish Bronze Age houses.
