Niamh McCabe graduated from UCD with a degree in Archaeology and subsequently a Masters in Cultural Policy and Arts Management.
As a professional in the cultural sector, she has worked with the Arts Council of Ireland in the areas of Traditional Arts and European funding, as well as with Gaisce – The President’s Award, the Ireland Chair of Poetry and also served as the Director of the RSAI for several years. She currently manages the Royal Irish Academy’s Grants programme, which includes a number of specific Grant schemes for Archaeological Research.
Throughout her career Niamh has developed an expertise in governance within the Charity sector. As a longstanding and enthusiastic member of the Royal Society of Antiquaries of Ireland she is now pleased to serve on the Council of the Society.
