We are now taking bookings for our Spring Excursion, which will visit Kildrought House and Castletown House in Celbridge, Co. Kildare.

The coach will depart from Society House at 9.30am and go directly to Kildrought House in Celbridge, where the owner June Stuart will give a tour of this privately-owned, unique house, followed by tea/coffee and home-baked cakes. We will then depart for a short, guided walk of Celbridge Abbey, associated with Jonathan Swift and Henry Grattan. Before embarking on a guided tour of Castletown House, we will stop by the Castletown restaurant for lunch. Our coach will depart from Castletown House and return to Merrion Square by approx. 6pm.

The cost of the excursion is €50 for members and €55 for guests to include cost of coach, coffee and home-made cake at Kildrought House, tours and lunch at Castletown House.
